If you hear the word “Bootcamp” and immediately picture someone yelling at you while you do burpees until you can’t move, we promise that’s not what we mean.
At Ryzing Fitness, Bootcamp is our coach-led group fitness class that combines strength training and conditioning in a fun, supportive environment. You’ll lift weights, get your heart rate up, learn new movements, and challenge yourself alongside other people—but everything can be adjusted to meet you where you are.
Whether you’ve been working out for years or you’re walking into a gym for the first time, you belong here.

So, What Exactly Is a Bootcamp Class?
Ryzing Bootcamp is a 45-minute group workout led by one of our coaches.
Every workout is different, but our classes are built around a combination of strength training and conditioning. You might use dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells, resistance bands, cardio equipment, or simply your own bodyweight.
The goal isn’t to see who can lift the most weight or finish the workout the fastest. The goal is to give you a structured, effective workout while having a coach there to guide you through it.
You don’t have to walk into the gym and figure out what exercises to do, how many reps to complete, or whether you’re doing something correctly.
We take care of the workout. You just have to show up.
What Happens During a Ryzing Bootcamp?
One of the biggest questions we get from people considering their first class is simply: What am I actually going to be doing?
Here’s what you can expect.
1. Warm-Up
Every class begins with a warm-up designed to get your body moving and prepare you for the workout ahead.
We don’t expect you to walk through the door and immediately start lifting heavy or sprinting. You’ll have time to get moving, warm up your muscles and joints, and get ready for that day’s exercises.
2. Exercise Instruction
Before the workout begins, your coach will walk the group through the exercises.
We’ll explain what you’re doing, demonstrate the movements, and answer questions. If you’re unfamiliar with an exercise, that’s completely okay.
This is one of the biggest differences between following a workout on your own and participating in a coach-led class: there’s actually someone there to teach you.
3. The Workout
Then it’s time to get moving.
The main portion of class combines strength and conditioning in a faster-paced format designed to keep things challenging and fun.
Some days may have a heavier strength focus. Others may include more balance and mobility. You’ll experience different exercises, equipment, and workout formats so your routine doesn’t feel like you’re doing the same thing every time you come to the gym.
And yes—you’ll probably sweat.
4. Cooldown
We finish class by bringing things back down and giving your body a chance to recover from the workout.
Then you’re done—in 45 minutes.
What If I’m Not in Good Enough Shape for Bootcamp?
This might be the most important thing we can tell someone considering Ryzing:
You do not need to get in shape before you come to Bootcamp. (We hear this a lot and we mean it. Whatever your starting point is… we’ve got you!)
That’s what you’re coming here to do.
You don’t need to be able to run a certain distance (or at all), lift a certain amount of weight, or keep up with the person next to you.
Our coaches can adjust exercises based on your current ability and experience. That could mean changing the weight, modifying the movement, adjusting the number of repetitions, or substituting an exercise altogether.
Everyone can be doing the same workout without everyone having to do it exactly the same way.
What If I Have an Injury or Limitation?
Having a bad knee, cranky shoulder, previous injury, or another physical limitation doesn’t automatically mean group fitness isn’t an option for you.
Tell your coach what’s going on before class. Depending on your individual situation, we can often modify an exercise or give you an alternative movement that works better for you.
And if Bootcamp isn’t the right starting point for your particular needs, we’ll tell you that too. Personal or semi-private training may make more sense when someone needs more individualized attention.
The goal isn’t to force everyone into the same workout. It’s to help you find the right way to move and get stronger.
Is Bootcamp Only for Beginners?
Definitely not.
One of the things we love about Bootcamp is that the same class can challenge people at very different fitness levels.
A newer member might perform an exercise with a lighter weight or modified movement while an experienced member uses a heavier weight or more challenging variation.
Both can get a great workout.
That’s why you’ll see a wide variety of people in our classes—from people who are relatively new to strength training to members who have been lifting for years.
What Should I Bring to My First Class?
You don’t need much.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, athletic shoes, and bring some water. We provide the workout and the equipment you’ll need.
Most importantly, don’t worry about knowing what you’re doing before you arrive. That’s our job.
Try to arrive a little early for your first class so you can meet your coach, see the space, and let us know about any injuries, limitations, or questions before the workout begins.
What Makes Ryzing Bootcamp Different?
There are plenty of places where you can go to get sweaty.
That’s not the only thing we’re trying to accomplish.
At Ryzing Fitness, we believe strength should be the foundation of fitnessand life. Our Bootcamp classes are designed to help you become stronger and more capable while still giving you the energy and community of a group workout.
We’re also a locally owned gym. Our coaches get to know our members. We want to know your name, understand what you’re working toward, and notice when you haven’t been around for a while.
Fitness works a lot better when you actually enjoy coming to the gym.
That’s the environment we’re trying to create.
